About The Position
LCB Senior Living is hiring a Dishwasher at The Residence at Melrose Station in Melrose, Massachusetts. This role supports a restaurant-style dining experience for residents by maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining area, washing and storing dishes and equipment, and assisting the culinary team as needed. The position is listed as full-time, with flexible scheduling and weekends needed. The stated wage range is $17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on years of experience. The Dishwasher may assist with food orders and storage, special events, banquets, and themed meals. The role also involves following cleaning schedules, quality standards, and food safety practices, and communicating residents’ food preferences to dining leadership.
Requirements
- Strong organization and time-management skills.

- Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
- Less than a high school education.
- Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
- Visual and auditory acuity.
- Ability to lift at least 15 pounds and carry objects.
- Ability to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
- Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks require.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
- Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
- Wash and store dishes and equipment according to policies and procedures.
- Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, and washing, and empty trash.
- Assist with putting away and appropriately storing food orders.
- Assist chefs and servers as assigned.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and themed meals or parties.
- Follow cleaning schedules as directed by the Culinary Services Director.
- Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
- Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.
- Communicate residents’ likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
