About The Position

The Dishwasher cleans and stocks dishware, kitchen utensils, and carts; operates cleaning equipment; prepares, delivers, and retrieves catering carts; delivers and retrieves patient tray carts to and from patient floors; and performs hospice and general department cleaning. The position follows department procedures and policies and supports the continuous availability of clean dishware, utensils, and carts. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare 1199NW. Union membership is optional. The posted wage range is $22.57–$34.58 per hour; actual offers are determined by relevant experience, education, and internal equity. Some positions may offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees.

Requirements

High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Washington State Food and Beverage Workers Permit.
Current Washington State driver's license.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Nice To Haves

Commercial dishwashing experience.

Responsibilities

Operate the dishwashing machine, pre-rinse and cart sprayers, pot and pan sink, micro-sprayer, patient carts, coffee urns, and catering carts according to department procedures and policies.
Ensure continuous availability of clean dishware, utensils, and carts.
Practice infection control, safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling techniques.
Prepare, deliver, and retrieve catering carts.
Deliver and retrieve patient tray carts to and from patient floors.
Perform hospice and general department cleaning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
