About The Position

The Dishwasher (Sanitation Aide) uses established guidelines to operate and maintain the dish machine, washes glasses and dishes in standard dish racks, and washes pots and pans in the designated pot washer's area. The role keeps the kitchen neat and clean, handles trash, follows material safety and safety procedures, and may assist with other kitchen duties, including plating banquet events when needed. The position may require varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Correctly operate and maintain the dish machine using established guidelines.
• Wash glasses and dishes in standard dish racks.
• Wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area.
• Perform cleaning needed to keep the kitchen neat and clean, including sweeping up broken glass or dishes and mopping spills.
• Empty full and heavy trash cans; spray and sanitize them after each use and replace trash bags after cleaning.
• Follow MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols and safety guidelines.
• Perform duties in other kitchen areas as assigned, including assisting with plating banquet events when needed.
