About The Position

Egg Harbor Café is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join its Culinary Support Team, which supports the Culinary Core team in the back of house and helps create a positive guest experience. Dishwashers help keep the restaurant operating smoothly by cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, glassware, and silverware, along with completing janitorial and other supportive kitchen tasks. The role calls for a positive, reliable, energetic, and team-oriented person who communicates well and values sanitation. Shifts start and end early, and the restaurant closes at 2 p.m.; the job posting says employees will never work at night. Scheduling is generally flexible, with the understanding that weekends and holidays are the busiest days. The restaurant is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, and silverware.
Complete janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks, including emptying trash receptacles, cleaning appliances, sweeping and mopping floors, and restocking kitchen items.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and orderly.
Clean garbage cans and floor mats with water or steam.
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Maintain and care for the dish machine.
Follow good sanitation practices, including health department and Hamco standards.
Maintain positive working relationships and communicate efficiently with team members.
