About The Position

Egg Harbor Café is hiring a part-time Dishwasher to support its Culinary Support Team and the back-of-house Culinary Core team. The role helps create a positive guest experience and supports the restaurant’s goal of providing excellent food and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Dishwashers clean, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, and silverware to help the restaurant operate smoothly. The position also includes janitorial and supportive kitchen duties. Shifts start and end early, and the restaurant closes at 2 p.m., so employees do not work at night. Scheduling is generally flexible, with the understanding that weekends and holidays are the busiest days. The restaurant is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, and silverware.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly conditions.
Perform janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks, including emptying trash receptacles, cleaning appliances, sweeping and mopping floors, and restocking kitchen items.
Clean garbage cans and floor mats with water or steam.
Sort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areas.
Maintain and take care of the dish machine.
Follow good sanitation practices in accordance with health department and Hamco standards.
Maintain positive working relationships and communicate efficiently with team members.
