About The Position

Bloomingdale’s is seeking an experienced Utility Person/Dishwasher to join its restaurant team and help deliver an outstanding experience to upscale clientele. The role supports restaurant and kitchen operations by handling dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, organizing, and beverage-station setup. It may suit someone interested in pursuing a career in the restaurant business. No prior experience is required, though prior restaurant or kitchen industry experience is preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures.
Ability to work as a team player in a learning environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, extended hours, and key event days.
General knowledge of cleaning procedures.

Prior restaurant or kitchen industry experience.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and break down a commercial dishwashing unit.
Wash pots and pans as needed.
Restock and maintain areas for china, silver, and small-wares.
Properly clean and close the kitchen at the end of the day.
Perform general cleaning of the restaurant and work station.
Set up the beverage station daily.
Stock and organize supplies.
