About The Position

The Dishwasher maintains a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. The role sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and equipment, supports stocking and inventory by organizing delivered food and supplies, and helps the department operate efficiently. The position is offered full-time and part-time, with day, evening, and night shifts available, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Be capable of prolonged standing and continuous walking, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping and bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
Pass a background check and drug screen, and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility.

Nice To Haves

Culinary experience, such as work as a cook or in a commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwashing, housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial work.

Responsibilities

Maintain order and cleanliness in the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes.
Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift.
Clean and return kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner.
Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot-clean floors and high-traffic areas.
Monitor and empty trash cans.
Follow the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
