About The Position

BOA Steakhouse is hiring a part-time Dishwasher for its Santa Monica restaurant. BOA Steakhouse is part of Innovative Dining Group's collection of restaurants and serves American steakhouse cuisine. The Dishwasher washes and cleans tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, and helps keep the restaurant and equipment clean and organized. The role also supports prep cooks during downtime and helps ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Requirements

Previous and/or relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication skills with guests and teammates.
Positive, upbeat attitude and strong work ethic.
Flexible availability to work days, nights, and weekends.
Valid Food Handler Card upon hire.
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and manage a physically demanding role.
Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

Wash and store tableware and kitchenware.
Load, operate, and unload the dish machine.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Keep the dish room clean and organized.
Monitor dish-machine water temperature and sanitizer levels to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
Maintain adequate supplies of dish detergent, cleaning supplies, and tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
Keep the dish machine clean and report functional or mechanical problems.
Bag and haul trash to the dumpster at designated times.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the dumpster area.
Clean food-preparation and production areas as required.
Assist the prep cook during downtime.
Perform station opening and closing tasks and side work for each shift.
Fill in as needed, as directed by the Restaurant Manager or immediate supervisor, to support efficient restaurant operations.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and deliver exceptional hospitality.
