About The Position

Hilton Des Moines Downtown is hiring a full-time Utility Steward/Dishwasher to keep kitchen and dining areas clean and support smooth service. The role includes cleaning serviceware and cooking utensils, maintaining supply levels and kitchen cleanliness, preparing clean serviceware for events, and helping train new stewards. Team members are expected to uphold health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. Open availability is required seven days a week, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Clean chinaware, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, and pans, and burnish silver.
• Monitor supplies and equipment to ensure they are well stocked and organized.
• Perform kitchen cleaning tasks, including mopping and trash removal.
• Prepare and set up clean serviceware for banquets and functions.
• Train and mentor new steward team members.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
