About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the sanitation and cleanliness of the dishroom, kitchen aisle, and dock area. The Dishwasher Steward will break down trays, set up and operate the dish machine, wash dishware, and properly store all clean china, glass, and silverware. This position also involves emptying trash bins, cleaning the dock area and dumpster, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dish machine and breakdown tables. The role requires adherence to performance standards related to customer satisfaction, work habits, and safety & security.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dishroom, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
• Break down trays, set up dish machine, wash dishware, sanitize and sort and store all clean china, glass and silverware using proper procedures.
• Empty trash bins and wash inside and outside.
• Thoroughly clean dock area and dumpster.
• Break down dish machine and clean inside and outside.
• Clean all breakdown tables.
• Clean tile walls and baseboards.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
