Dishwasher I (Academic) (Multiple Positions)
About The Position
The Dishwasher I works in the University of Arizona Student Unions’ culinary operations, maintaining supplies of clean dishes, silverware, and utensils; operating industrial dishwashing equipment; and supporting table bussing and cleaning across Student Union units. The position is full-time, works 40 hours per week, and may have its hours adjusted to meet work availability, special events, training, and operational demands. Candidates must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position is based at the Tucson Campus in Tucson, Arizona. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency.
- Knowledge of food service utensils, plates, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an adequate supply of clean dishes, silverware, and utensils.
- Operate industrial dishwashing equipment according to established protocols.
- Deliver plates and silverware to various locations as needed.
- Collect dirty dishes, bus tables, and clean tables as needed.
- Maintain a clean work area throughout the shift.
- Clean and sanitize the dishwashing machine during each shift, including its exterior.
- Assist with bussing and cleaning various units within the Student Union.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
