About The Position

The Gate Golf Club is a nonprofit organization established in 2023 to expand access to golf and create a lasting impact in Southwest Florida. Scheduled to open in late 2026, the venue will include restaurants and bars, a 30-bay practice range with Trackman technology, a putting course, and a nine-hole regulation-length golf course. The Porter helps maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming venue, including locker rooms, hitting bays, guest spaces, public areas, and outdoor spaces. The role supports the guest experience through attentive cleaning and upkeep, friendly assistance to guests and coworkers, and proactive work in a fast-paced environment. Porters must meet the physical and scheduling demands of a busy public golf facility. Duties may change or be added as operational needs evolve.

Requirements

Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism; willingness to take direction.
Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest service.
Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, and stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work near moving equipment and meet the physical and scheduling requirements of a busy public golf facility.

Nice To Haves

Commercial cleaning, janitorial, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
Energetic, hardworking, team-oriented approach; willingness to learn and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect locker-room showers, toilets, sinks, and vanities daily.
Wipe down and sanitize the inside and outside of lockers and their handles.
Clean and polish glass entryway doors and front windows throughout the shift.
Restock and sanitize public restrooms frequently.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum high-traffic indoor and outdoor spaces.
Clean and polish high-touch surfaces.
Keep the main entrance, parking lot, and outdoor walkways free of trash and debris.
Empty trash and recycling bins regularly.
Safely handle, store, and use commercial cleaning products and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
Keep the venue, including locker rooms, hitting bays, and public areas, clean and organized.
Provide friendly and helpful support to guests and coworkers and proactively identify upkeep needs.
