About The Position

Our client is seeking a Disaster Recovery Programmer Support Consultant to join a top-tier financial institution. The role combines software development, API management, and disaster recovery testing support, with a focus on maintaining critical system resilience and documentation. The position requires W2 employment status.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• JavaScript proficiency, with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code.
• Advanced proficiency with the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Working knowledge of the Fusion Risk Management System and disaster recovery testing frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments.
• W2 employment status required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and manage API codebases and features using RESTful and SOAP architectures.
• Identify and remediate bugs across disaster recovery systems and applications.
• Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for disaster recovery procedures and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with DevOps teams on system maintenance and manage Disaster Recovery Test Day execution, including comprehensive reporting.
• Develop and enhance reporting features; perform ad hoc reporting and monthly metrics analysis on disaster recovery test management.
• Track and escalate issues identified during testing through to resolution, and conduct external vendor reviews.
• Review, enhance, and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) related to disaster recovery operations.
• Script and automate recovery plan creation procedures within the Fusion Risk Management System.
