Join Community Interface Services as a Resource Counselor in the Poway to La Jolla areas, where your work will directly impact lives. Community Interface Services: Our Mission Community Interface Services is a non-profit organization that has empowered adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1983. Our mission is to provide quality, individualized, community-based support and training in employment, housing, community living, and other related services. A DAY IN THE LIFE As a Resource Counselor at Community Interface Services, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, empowering them to live independently. Your role will involve providing tailored support to help clients develop essential household management skills, including cleaning, cooking, budgeting, and maintaining their health and safety. You will also assist these individuals in connecting with valuable community resources and assistance programs, ensuring they have access to the support needed for a fulfilling life. By fostering independence and self-sufficiency, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for those in the nonprofit social services sector. Your dedication to customer-centricity and innovation will make a lasting impact in the community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Minimum of two years of driving experience.
  • Valid auto insurance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of assistance and housing resources.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
