About The Position

Community Interface Services is hiring Full-Time Resource Counselors to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence. This role is hands-on, relationship-focused, and essential to improving the quality of life for those we serve. Since we support individuals within their own home or their community, there is expected travel within the Escondido to Vista area.

Requirements

• Knowledge of housing resources or willingness to learn
• Strong communication, empathy, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• A High School Diploma or GED required
• A valid California driver's license, reliable vehicle, insurance, and 2+ years of driving experience

Nice To Haves

• bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Teaching essential independent living skills such cooking, cleaning, home maintenance, budgeting, etc.
• Supporting individuals who live independently through regular check-ins
• Connecting people with community resources and services
• Collaborating with local housing agencies and community partners
• Promoting self‑advocacy, confidence, and meaningful community involvement
