About The Position

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead complex technical initiatives at the intersection of engineering and business strategy. The role focuses on large-scale technical transformations and scaling resilient, highly automated platform capabilities. Programs may include expanding global edge compute capacity, intelligent traffic routing across hybrid cloud environments, and using agentic technologies to streamline a distributed, multi-vendor network footprint. The Director will own high-visibility roadmaps, manage cross-organizational dependencies, and champion code-first infrastructure automation to deliver enterprise-scale experiences. The role also helps develop the TPM discipline by teaching the organization what effective technical program management can achieve. The position contributes to TPM and delivery strategy, including operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling that scale across portfolios. It drives roadmap alignment with business objectives, technical solutions, and dependency sequencing; leads cross-platform investment planning and architectural alignment; serves as an executive escalation point for risks and tradeoffs; and establishes measurable platform outcomes and delivery accountability across engineering teams.
