About The Position

The Director, Targeting & Field Intelligence – Pipeline & Portfolio is the Horizontal Integration Leader across TNBA, responsible for advancing Novartis' enterprise field intelligence strategy and enabling a unified approach to field direction, customer engagement, and decision support. The position reports to the Executive Director, Targeting and Field Intelligence. Unlike Therapeutic Area Targeting Directors, who serve as vertical business leaders accountable for stakeholder management and TA-specific outcomes, this role owns enterprise prioritization, cross-portfolio capability development, operational consistency, and the evolution of a unified field intelligence ecosystem across brands, field functions, and channels. The director advances the Integrated Intelligence Layer behind capabilities such as Dynamic Targeting, Next Best Actions, Unified Field Direction, and Field Orchestration, ensuring field teams receive consistent, actionable, personalized guidance that improves customer engagement, field effectiveness, and business outcomes. The role is ideally based in East Hanover, New Jersey, though remote work may be possible subject to legal-entity restrictions. Relocation is not provided. Remote employees are responsible for home office expenses and travel or lodging for periodic live meetings at the East Hanover site. The position requires 15% travel; working hours and travel expectations will be defined by the hiring manager.
