About The Position

The Director, Sales Strategy is a senior business leader and trusted advisor to the VP of Enterprise Sales, responsible for driving business performance, strategic priorities, and operational execution across the Enterprise organization. This role combines strategy, analytics, and operational leadership to accelerate growth, improve productivity, optimize investments, and drive predictable business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, analytical rigor, executive presence, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology or complex B2B sales environments.
  • Experience working in storage, or storage adjacent environments (understanding of hardware, cloud, SaaS consumption models).
  • Fun, approachable, believes no problem is unfixable, even if it takes a lot of work - required.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales motions, forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, and deal execution.
  • Proven experience leading strategic initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong financial, commercial, and analytical acumen with the ability to translate data into action.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience partnering with senior sales leaders and executive teams.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business performance, identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support decisions related to growth, investments, resource allocation, and organizational priorities.
  • Connect insights across regions, functions, and customer segments to guide executive decision-making.
  • Leverage analytics and commercial insights to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, and business risks.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Finance to optimize resource allocation, coverage strategies, and investment decisions.
  • Analyze revenue trends, pipeline health, forecast performance, and productivity metrics to drive business decisions.
  • Support complex revenue and margin strategies through business analysis, investment evaluation, and deal economics.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and sales leaders on annual planning, territory strategy, organizational design, and investment decisions.
  • Optimize headcount, coverage models, productivity, and resource deployment to support growth.
  • Maintain close engagement with field leaders to understand customer, market, partner, and competitive dynamics.
  • Serve as a liaison across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product, HR, Channel, Solutions Engineering, and other GTM teams.
