About The Position

Join the team at the heart of Mastercard’s global Product organization. In this highly visible role, you will work directly with the Chief Product Officer, their leadership team, Management Committee members, and key executives to drive strategic initiatives, support executive decision-making, and influence the company’s long-term vision and execution. The Director, Enterprise Strategy will play a central role in the formulation, analytical review, and communication of Mastercard's Product strategy. You will lead major workstreams on emerging strategic issues / business-unit strategies and conduct ad hoc strategic reviews for senior executives. The role also partners closely with senior executives and the Corporate Development team to inform and drive Mastercard's inorganic growth agenda.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree from a top program preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services and / or payments industry required
  • 6+ years at a leading consulting firm and / or internal strategy team, including at least one year leading projects
  • Exemplary analytical / problem-solving skills and business acumen; ability to isolate critical issues and navigate ambiguity
  • Strong quantitative toolkit, including modelling and analytics frameworks
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to independently develop high-quality executive-level outputs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives end-to-end, effectively driving forward project plans and leveraging stakeholder management / influencing skills
  • Experience working with Fintech preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-priority strategic projects: frame and structure issues, build workplans, conduct complex analysis, and shape insights and recommendations (e.g., stablecoins, agentic commerce, affluent segment)
  • Develop strategy presentations and memos for C-suite executives and the Board, synthesizing key issues, evaluating options, and articulating clear, fact-based recommendations
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape, and share insightful reports and analyses with the broader team and senior executives
  • Refine the Core product strategy periodically to reflect material trends impacting the company
  • Assess organic and inorganic opportunities based on the company's strategic priorities
  • Partner with business leaders to design and advance their strategies; balancing facilitation, influence, and content leadership, while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
