About The Position

The Director, Regional Practice is a senior operational leader responsible for driving end-to-end performance across a portfolio of physician practices. This role partners closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to optimize revenue cycle operations, improve financial and operational outcomes, and ensure best-in-class service delivery. This leader will operate in highly complex, multi-site environments, influencing both directly managed teams and client-employed staff to achieve performance excellence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, preferably in physician revenue cycle management
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations and driving measurable financial and operational improvements
  • Strong knowledge of physician billing, revenue cycle processes, and healthcare regulations
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership and client partners
  • Experience leading through ambiguity and managing complex, matrixed environments
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and translate insights into action
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations across multiple physician practice sites, ensuring strong financial performance, quality outcomes, and operational consistency
  • Serve as the primary partner to client leadership, fostering trusted relationships and driving alignment on strategic priorities
  • Identify performance gaps and implement data-driven solutions to improve revenue cycle outcomes, including front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end processes
  • Influence and coach practice leadership and staff (including non-direct reports) to drive adoption of best practices and standard workflows
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, quality, and financial metrics, and drive accountability across teams
  • Lead change management initiatives, including process optimization, workflow redesign, and system enhancements
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., revenue cycle, analytics, technology) to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Travel extensively (approximately 75%) within the West Coast region to provide on-site leadership and support
