About The Position

Altruist is hiring a Director, Recruiter & Referral Partnerships to own its recruiter and referral partner network and develop it into a repeatable source of growth. The role is part of the Client Development team and focuses on partnerships that introduce financial advisors to Altruist’s platform, including advisor-recruiting and transition-consulting firms and organizations across the broader RIA ecosystem. The Director will manage recruiter partners, establish new relationships, and turn those relationships into advisor introductions. The role oversees the referral channel from partner selection through funded assets, including partner agreements, referral intake and routing, follow-up, CRM tracking, payout administration, and channel reporting. The Director will also coordinate with Sales, Finance, Legal, Onboarding, Transitions, and Operations, and represent Altruist at industry events.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in wealth management or financial services, with exposure to advisor recruiting, advisor transitions, partnerships, or business development.
  • Relationships with advisor-recruiting or transition-consulting firms, or experience working with them at a custodian, broker-dealer, RIA, or aggregator.
  • Established relationships across wealth management, investment, technology, and industry organizations, including FPA, XYPN, and NAPFA, as well as custodian-conversion consultants, RIA M&A and practice-management advisors, broker-dealer transition consultants, and TAMP and outsourced-CIO platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the RIA, wealth management, asset management, custody, or investment technology ecosystem.
  • Understanding of how advisors move from wirehouses and broker-dealers to the independent RIA model, including how they choose a custodian.
  • Strong relationship-management and negotiation skills.
  • Organized, metrics-driven approach, with comfort using CRM tracking and channel reporting.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own Altruist’s recruiter and referral partner channel end-to-end, from partner selection through funded assets.

  • Train partners on Altruist’s offering, the firms it serves best, and how it compares with other custodians.
  • Run referral intake and routing to Sales, set follow-up standards, and close the loop with partners on every introduction.
  • Coordinate with Onboarding and Transitions to support referred advisors’ moves to Altruist.
  • Track referrals in the CRM from introduction to funded assets, manage partner payouts, and report on pipeline, conversion, AUM, and partner ROI.
  • Represent Altruist at industry conferences, association events, and recruiter gatherings to grow the network.
