About The Position

The Director, Reconditioning Operations is responsible for leading all aspects of the Reconditioning Center, including bottom line management, process management, performance management, and quality assurance resolution. The Director, Reconditioning Operations must ensure that the center meets goals and all vehicles reconditioned meet our standards prior to being sent to our retail locations for sale. This role involves representing and maintaining a culture that exemplifies the DriveTime Core Principles, working through onsite Operations Managers to ensure bottom line management objectives are met such as staffing, operating expenses, efficiency, quality, and productivity. The Director will also work with leaders throughout all departments to ensure all supply chain goals are established and met, and oversee recruiting, screening, and hiring of the Reconditioning Center team members using methods designed to reduce turnover, fill all open positions, build a leadership bench, and improve performance. The role requires scheduling and leading both onsite and virtual meetings, location visits, and planning sessions, utilizing remote management skills and techniques to assess, motivate, develop, and influence Reconditioning Center teams. Maintaining the health and integrity of all facility’s production systems, effectively utilizing root cause analysis practices to identify opportunities and create sustainable short and long-term plans to address them, and proactively identifying trends through observations and report reviews are also key responsibilities. The Director will ensure Operations Managers are effectively training and developing their teams, evaluate Reconditioning Center team performance and give feedback constantly, regularly, and in a timely manner based on both observations of performance, behavior, and a review of analytical reporting, and guide Operations Managers through the employee evaluation process providing perspective and instruction for proper employee development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years ‘management experience
  • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and work with all levels of employees and customers, and work in conjunction with various corporate groups to achieve corporate and ground goals.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to talk and write with confidence, charisma and competence for a wide variety of audiences including management.
  • Agile in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that never stops.
  • Ability to lead, manage and grow within our organization.
  • Adherence to regular and predictable attendance.
