About The Position
The Director of Radiology exercises overall supervision of the department and manages staff assigned to it. The role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates employees in accordance with the hospital’s general personnel policies, and identifies, studies, and helps resolve departmental problems. The director develops and manages annual operating and capital budgets, directs daily operations and staff performance, and has the authority to hire, fire, and discipline staff. The position also requires completing established competencies within the designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited imaging program.
- Five years of technical experience.
- Two years of management experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, a state license if required, or an acceptable equivalent imaging certification (ARDMS or ARMRIT).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA).
