About The Position

The Director of Imaging Services supervises the operation of the Medical Imaging Department and coordinates, delegates, and assigns its daily activities. The role maintains technical proficiency and expertise in areas of responsibility, manages clinical supervisors across imaging modalities to ensure quality of work, and oversees patient flow and staffing. The Director provides testing for patients with a wide range of clinical conditions and ages, maintains current procedural protocols, computer files, equipment maintenance programs, and quality-control data, and ensures technical and documentation practices meet Joint Commission (JCAHO) and other applicable federal and state regulatory requirements. The position works independently and takes initiative while following departmental guidelines and practices. It reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements

ARRT certification.
BLS certification.
Finger-print background check required.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred.
Three to five years of experience managing a Radiology Department involving all radiology modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise the operation of the Medical Imaging Department.
Communicate, coordinate, delegate, and assign the department’s daily activities.
Maintain technical proficiency and expertise in areas of responsibility.
Manage clinical supervisors for each imaging modality to ensure quality of work.
Supervise patient flow and staffing.
Provide testing for patients with varied clinical conditions and across all age ranges.
Maintain current procedural protocols, computer files, equipment maintenance programs, and quality-control data.
Ensure technical and documentation expectations are consistent with JCAHO and meet applicable regulatory requirements.
Ensure the section meets regulatory requirements.
Work independently and take initiative in compliance with departmental guidelines and practices.
