•$134,600 - $230,800

About The Position

The Director, Provider Enablement and Engagement Strategy owns the primary care provider (PCP) enablement and engagement strategy for the Optum Care at Home (OCAH) product, which delivers wraparound clinical and non-clinical support to dual-eligible (D-SNP) members nationwide. This senior individual-contributor and matrix-leadership role is part of the Network Enablement & Innovation team in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer. The role determines which provider collaborations to advance, pilot, scale, change, or stop; leads discussions with provider group leaders; and sets strategic direction for product, clinical, operations, data, and technology teams. It operates with significant autonomy and is the functional authority for provider enablement and engagement. Its decisions have substantial clinical, financial, and operational impact. Direct reports and independent budget ownership are not established in the current scope. The Director owns the strategy and innovation agenda, including its vision, priorities, roadmap, and success measures, and leads provider and partner engagement to improve care coordination and patient outcomes. The role develops and scales clinical collaboration and incentive strategies, oversees workflow creation and adoption, expands provider-network engagement capabilities—especially through technology and AI—and drives data, reporting, and interoperability alignment. It also leads vendor vetting and contracting as needed, documents decisions and risks, and escalates material concerns through established governance channels while protecting confidential information and complying with company policies and regulatory requirements.
