Director, Product Management - OneStream
About The Position
Capital One is hiring a Director of Product Management to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of core OneStream platform capabilities. OneStream is an enterprise data publishing platform that supports data registration, ingestion, transformation, and movement at scale, serving data engineers, analysts, and consumers who need trusted, well-governed, cost-optimized data for analytics, modeling, and decisioning. The role will guide OneStream's evolution into an agent-native data platform, developing self-service, automation, and agentic capabilities that make valuable data available faster and more easily. The Director will define the long-term strategy for the enterprise data pipeline product portfolio, champion next-generation product features, manage and coach a high-performing product team, and partner with technology, design, risk, architecture, analytics, and business teams across Capital One. The successful candidate is customer-focused, intellectually curious, action-oriented, an effective communicator and influencer, and able to lead teams through ambiguity and complex technology challenges. The role is expected to demonstrate proficiency in human-centered product design, business outcomes, technology-driven solutions, integrated problem solving, and transformational leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- At least 5 years of Product Management experience.
- At least 2 years of people leadership experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage and influence senior executives and technical engineering partners.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance strategic vision with execution, and make trade-offs.
- Customer focus and ability to understand customer needs.
- Ability to coach and mentor others in product development.
Nice To Haves
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
- Experience in a large, data-intensive, multi-line-of-business environment with significant complexity and scale.
- 3 or more years of people leadership experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in innovative technology environments.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term vision and strategy for the enterprise OneStream data pipeline product portfolio across Capital One.
- Lead product vision, strategy, and execution for core OneStream platform capabilities.
- Champion the execution of next-generation product features using a strong foundation in product management and data platforms.
- Define and build modern self-service, automation, and agentic capabilities.
- Manage, inspire, and coach a high-performing team of product managers.
- Partner with technology, design, risk, architecture, analytics, and other horizontal teams to create a modern data ecosystem.
- Influence customers across major lines of business and partner teams.
- Drive iterative delivery of valuable products, including minimum viable products, while making commitments and trade-offs to remove impediments.
- Understand internal and external customer needs and build lasting relationships.
