About the position
Vidyard is seeking a Director of Product to join their team and lead a group of product managers. The role involves owning the product roadmap, collaborating with engineering teams, and creating innovative solutions to enhance the interaction between buyers and sellers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Vidyard and will be responsible for building a high-performing product team. This remote position is open to candidates in Canada or the United States.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop a high performing product team capable of executing the Vidyard product strategy.
- Own the product strategy and roadmap of new features that deliver value to Vidyard customers and generate.
- Collaborate with a small team of product managers, engineering managers, and business leaders to enable the product vision.
- Define clear success metrics for your team and communicate the what and why to leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
- Become an expert on our product and industry and use this expertise to inform our product offering and identify acquisition and partnership opportunities.
- Prioritize areas of focus by using quantitative and qualitative data and collaborating with the business leaders to make sure the team is constantly focused on the most important problems.
- Overseeing the product development process from start to finish. This includes defining the product vision, creating the product roadmap, and managing the team that brings the product to life.
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product meets the needs of both customers and the business. This includes collaborating with engineers, designers, marketers, and sales professionals.
- Making tough decisions about product features, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. There will always be trade-offs to consider, and you must be able to make the best decisions for the long-term success of the product.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This includes keeping the CEO and other executives informed about product progress, as well as communicating with customers and users to get feedback.
- Managing a team of product managers and other product professionals. This includes setting expectations, providing coaching and guidance, and resolving conflicts.
- Staying up-to-date on our competitors and technology. The product landscape is constantly changing, so it's important that we stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable success as a product management leader at a SaaS company
- Minimum of 10 years of overall product management experience at a SaaS company
