About The Position

Presbyterian Medical Group (PMG) seeks a transformational ambulatory healthcare leader to serve as its next Director of Practice Operations. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for operational, financial, service, and people performance across a portfolio of physician and advanced practice provider clinics. As healthcare continues to evolve toward value-based care, consumerism, digital engagement, and integrated care delivery models, PMG is investing in operational leaders who can move beyond traditional practice management and serve as strategic business partners to physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical leaders. The Director will lead the execution of ambulatory strategies designed to improve access, provider productivity, patient experience, workforce engagement, quality outcomes, and financial performance. This leader will work closely with physician leaders, practice managers, operational executives, and support service departments to create high-performing outpatient operations that deliver exceptional care and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate is a collaborative healthcare operator who combines strong business acumen, physician partnership skills, operational discipline, and a passion for improving both patient and provider experiences.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field.
7–10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
Minimum of 5 years leading ambulatory, physician practice, medical group, or outpatient operations.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple practices, service lines, or operational departments.
Experience leading operational, financial, workforce, and patient experience improvement initiatives.
Strong understanding of ambulatory operations, practice management, access management, and provider productivity.

Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health, or related discipline.

Lead development and execution of annual operating plans and budgets.
Manage financial performance across assigned practices, including revenue, expenses, productivity, and operating margin.
Monitor key financial indicators and implement strategies that improve fiscal performance.
Identify opportunities for growth, operational efficiency, and resource optimization.
Support business planning and evaluation of new services, programs, and growth opportunities.
Lead initiatives that improve patient access, scheduling efficiency, and capacity management.
Develop strategies that enhance patient acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
Improve consumer experience through service excellence and operational innovation.
Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and implement improvements that enhance care delivery.
Partner with marketing and business development teams to support growth initiatives.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across ambulatory operations.
Utilize data and performance metrics to improve quality outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Partner with quality and clinical teams to monitor performance against organizational goals.
Lead, coach, and develop practice managers and operational leaders.
Build high-performing teams focused on accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
Support workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.

Lead strategic and tactical planning initiatives for assigned practices.

Evaluate emerging healthcare trends and recommend innovative approaches to care delivery.
Utilize operational, clinical, financial, and patient experience data to drive decision-making.
Develop performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms for leaders and providers.
Monitor KPIs and establish action plans to address performance gaps.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methodologies.
