About The Position

ShipMonk is seeking an ambitious Director, Performance Marketing to lead their digital growth engine. This role is responsible for driving ShipMonk's digital media strategy end-to-end, encompassing paid media, SEO/GEO, and conversion rate optimization, with the goals of increasing brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention. This is a hands-on leadership position where the individual will be responsible for setting the strategy, executing campaigns, and demonstrating return on investment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in performance marketing with a proven record of driving growth and ROI across B2C and B2B, including budgets of $1M+.
  • Deep analytics expertise, including synthesizing data into action with proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and CRM platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Expertise in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Experience with CRO and experimentation, including A/B testing and platforms like Optimizely or VWO.
  • Leadership presence with the ability to build buy-in across diverse stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Operational rigor, utilizing workflow tools (Asana or similar) to manage complex programs and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing, Finance, or related).

  • Ecommerce or logistics experience.
  • 3PL experience.
  • MBA.

Responsibilities

  • Own the performance marketing strategy, including planning and execution across SEM, SEO, paid social, display, TV, and audio.
  • Build full-funnel acquisition campaigns, establishing evergreen programs and continuously testing new audiences, creative, CTAs, channels, and formats.
  • Drive retention and lifecycle marketing by designing programs to maximize engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value, and iterating based on results.
  • Optimize relentlessly through a disciplined test-and-learn practice across channels to maximize ROI at every funnel stage.
  • Own the numbers by tracking performance in Google Analytics and GTM, building integrated multi-touch attribution reporting, and translating campaign metrics into actionable business insights.
  • Manage the budget by allocating spend for maximum return against revenue targets and forecasting with confidence.
  • Define and maintain persona and segment definitions, using paid media insights to sharpen targeting across the marketing team.
  • Partner across the business with Product Marketing, Content, Creative, Brand Marketing, Sales, and the customer organization to drive growth collaboratively.
