About The Position

Avante is an AI-native benefits intelligence platform designed to simplify benefits complexity for both employees and HR leaders. The platform uses AI agents, Carly and Ava, to provide personalized employee guidance and strategic intelligence for benefits programs. The company operates on a four-day work week with one remote day. This role is crucial for managing Avante's go-to-market channel through benefits brokers, consultants, and communications firms, aiming to convert partnerships into pipeline. The Director of Partner Marketing will own the end-to-end strategy for partner marketing, focusing on three key areas: a top-down approach to attract new firms, a bottom-up approach to engage top producers within firms, and an activation approach to retain existing partners through co-marketing and enablement. This is a General Manager role for the partner channel, responsible for driving partner-sourced pipeline and making strategic investment decisions. The role requires close collaboration with various internal teams, including partner enablement, product marketing, sales, and field marketing. The Director will report to the Head of Marketing.

Requirements

  • Roughly 8 to 12 years of B2B marketing experience.
  • 4 to 5+ years focused on partner, channel, or alliance marketing.
  • Experience building partner marketing programs in a channel-led or partner-led GTM motion.
  • Event planning and execution experience, including running regional dinners, co-branded events, and broker-facing education sessions.
  • Content creation ability, including writing partner newsletters, building co-branded one-pagers, and briefing case studies.
  • Early-stage experience, comfortable building playbooks and handling ambiguity.
  • Strong cross-functional instincts, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, CX, partner enablement, product marketing, and field marketing.
  • Experience owning a partner marketing strategy and budget end to end, covering both new-partner acquisition and existing-partner activation.
  • Experience using AI tools as a core part of daily work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in benefits, insurance, HR tech, or financial services.
  • Working knowledge of the benefits ecosystem (consultants, producers, carrier relationships, communication practices, point solution partners).
  • HubSpot or similar MAP experience for partner nurture campaigns.
  • Experience with ABM platforms or account-based partner programs.

Responsibilities

  • Win new partner firms from the top down by marketing Avante to leadership at target broker and consultant firms.
  • Activate top producers from the bottom up by building programs, recognition, and co-marketing initiatives that encourage them to lead with Avante.
  • Own the partner communications engine, delivering newsletters, success stories, and product updates to maintain Avante's visibility among producers.
  • Run partner education at scale through webinars, lunch-and-learns, and partner-facing events.
  • Own the roadshow and regional event program, working with partners to bring clients together with Avante.
  • Build co-branded collateral and sales tools in partnership with enablement and product marketing.
  • Develop co-marketing playbooks for each partner tier, defining repeatable marketing plans for new partnerships.
  • Run partner marketing like a P&L, measuring and managing partner-sourced pipeline and budget.
  • Own the partner marketing story in QBRs and leadership reviews, including forecasts.
  • Own the marketing relationship with partner organizations, building trust and responsiveness.
  • Utilize AI tools daily for content drafting, partner research, workflow building, and output enhancement.
