About The Position

This is a Regular Full-Time position. An exciting Full-Time opportunity as Director, Ontario Network of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centres is currently available. This role is located at Women’s College Hospital and will lead the strategic and operational activities of the Network across the province’s 37 sites. The Director will work to align resources to ensure access, consistency and quality of services at all sites, and will oversee development of client education resources, research initiatives and evaluation metrics. As a role model and champion you will work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care.

Requirements

Successful completion of a Master’s degree in Nursing or a Master of Health Administration
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Extensive experience in clinical field related to treatment and care of sexual assault and domestic violence patients
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible and related experience required.
Ability to work with leaders across organizations to transform and continuously deliver positive outcomes of care
Progressive professional and management experience in a hospital environment, demonstrating abilities in building relationships, fostering collaboration, leading change and exploring innovative approaches to care delivery that focuses on improving the patient experience.
Leadership experience with a successful track record of achieving results that improve the organization and inspire confidence and commitment.
Proven management skills including risk and patient safety, financial, human resources, quality improvement, change management, evaluation, planning and utilization management skills.
Experience in strategy development and implementation within the healthcare sector.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to make and defend independent judgments, as well as the corresponding ability to influence others and achieve desired outcomes.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively handle a large number of issues simultaneously.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversees and directs Network operational activities at the 37 SADVTC’s located across Ontario
Provides leadership to Hospital sites as an expert resource for clinical, legal or research activities
Empowers a cohesive and collaborative team that is service-driven and focused on establishing exceptional patient care experience across the Network
Assumes a leadership role in the developing and maintaining effective communication and working relationships with all SA/DVTC program leaders and Network Team members
Maintain oversight of client educational materials in use at each Network site; advise on development of new materials
In keeping with best practices, assist sites with implementation of staff training and education materials
Lead provincial research activities and collaborate with Centres in identifying emerging issues to strengthen evidence-based practice
Monitor the legislative and legal environment and provide guidance and direction to sites to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice
Monitor and evaluate the quality of services and programs, to ensure consistent practice and quality across the province
Develops processes and protocols to manage activities, ensuring regulatory requirements are tracked and reported as required.
Represent the ONSADVTCs on committees such as the Learning Network Advisory Council, TBI-IPV Advisory Group, and others as requested.
Collaborate with other provincial VAW organizations ( ie OCRCC, DAWN, OAITH) to collectively identify and address issues impacting victims of violence
Represent the ONSADVTCs with government Ministries –i.e. Ministry of Health, Ministry of the Attorney General, Ministry of Community and Social Services as needed
Collaborate with Hospital sites and external partners, as appropriate, to define and advance strategic initiatives/projects
Supports and advances WCH goals through committee participation and project work, participating on and leading standing/project/cross-organizational committees and initiatives to understand broader issues, share insights, manage project activities and influence outcomes
Responsible for provincial program budgets and appropriate allocation of funds
Responsible for reviewing all SADVTC program annual reports and activities to ensure programs are meeting program Standards and adequately resourced.
Proactively seek funding opportunities to support specific initiatives as needed by SADVTCs (ie clinical training)
Supports SA/DVTC teams to develop strategies to streamline operations, improve program(s)/services.
Provides support and capacity building in the services provided as well as coaching and mentoring to the staff.
Manage all aspects of Network staffing, including day to day operational guidance and performance management, ensuring adequate Human Resources are available and utilized effectively
