Director of Youth & Young Adult Programs
About The Position
The Director of Youth & Young Adult Programs provides leadership and oversight for the Community Connections YouThrive program (CCYT), which serves current and former foster youth ages 17–26 as they transition from foster care to independent adulthood. The Director oversees CCYT Program Managers across Missouri and Kansas and is responsible for program operations, staff development, quality assurance, program outcomes, and strategic planning, while ensuring high-quality services for young adults. CCYT uses a peer-to-peer model, where lived experience can help build trust, credibility, and meaningful connections with young adults.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with at-risk teens is required.
- A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field is required.
- Three or more years of experience working in nonprofit social service agencies.
- Management experience.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing ways to create efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and team-management ability, including the ability to train and develop staff.
- Travel is required, with or without accommodation.
