About The Position

Marin Community Clinics (MCC), founded in 1972, is a multi-clinic network providing integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty, and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), MCC serves nearly 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County and has received national awards from HRSA. Our mission is to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all, with a focus on health equity for vulnerable patients through family-centered, trauma-informed clinical care and case management. Applicants should have familiarity with Latin culture and race-based stress/trauma work. As the Director of Training, Behavioral Health Fellowship, you will design and lead a Fellowship Program focused on Latinx communities, overseeing a curriculum to train culturally-responsive and trauma-aware clinicians. You will guide Behavioral Health Fellows, supervise junior practitioners, and collaborate with the Clinical Programs Director to ensure the curriculum aligns with evidence-based practices, empowering Fellows to make a lasting impact and building a pipeline of clinicians who understand the communities served. This role is for individuals passionate about shaping future leaders in behavioral health within a dynamic, supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience in California.
  • Experience developing curriculum and delivering mentorship in clinical settings.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (required).
  • Comfortable providing care across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, elderly) with both mild/moderate behavioral health needs and more complex mental health challenges.
  • A deep understanding of Latinx communities, with expertise in culturally responsive care.
  • Proven ability to engage diverse populations, recognizing the unique cultural, social, and historical factors that shape their experiences.
  • A track record of providing instruction and mentorship to emerging clinicians, helping them navigate complex clinical and interpersonal situations.
  • Comfort in both clinical assessment and case management interventions, especially in a bilingual context.
  • Strong communication skills, both in English and Spanish, with the ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from patients, clients, and the public.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in motivational interviewing and substance use disorder treatment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direct supervision to first and second-year Associates in Social Work (ASWs), Behavioral Health Fellows, and the Clinical Supervisor (LCSW).
  • Design and implement an ASW IBH training program that is comprehensive and aligned with the latest evidence-based practices in integrated behavioral health.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive, trauma-responsive, and evidence-based treatment to patients (adults and children) with mild to moderate behavioral health needs, both in-person and via telehealth platforms.
  • Continuously evaluate and update the training program based on feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to ensure it meets the evolving needs of stakeholders.
  • Stay at the forefront of integrated behavioral health trends, incorporating new technologies, training methods, and service models that integrate behavioral health into primary care.
  • Manage a team of Behavioral Health professionals, including the Clinical Supervisor and junior practitioners, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams to attract top talent, participate in interviews, and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Provide regular performance feedback, set clear goals, and ensure team members have the support and resources needed for ongoing professional development.
