About The Position

The Director of Technology oversees global team members and leads technology for the Security Products suite. The role develops the strategic vision, objectives, and goals for Security Products in alignment with the CTO’s vision for the business unit, the organization’s security strategy, and business needs. It manages proprietary technologies supporting DBS Digital assets in a 24/7 environment, including domain management, brand protection, fraud protection, security monitoring tools, the DomainSec intelligence platform, and Domain Manager security tools.

The Director establishes and enforces technology security policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with security activities, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The role collaborates with teams, senior management, and stakeholders; meets with customers to review reporting and provide technical analysis of technology incidents; and supports new-customer onboarding and portal access. The Director continually assesses and improves technology capabilities, processes, and procedures while staying current with developments in the technology ecosystem.

This is a hybrid role based in Wilmington, Delaware, with three days onsite and two days remote. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of recent experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a large global organization.
• Knowledge of Security Products.
• At least 10 years of prior leadership experience, preferably in software development.
• Technical background in cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threat vectors.
• Risk mitigation and management knowledge.
• Good knowledge of IT, internet, and data center technology.
• Practical experience with data center operations and environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategic vision, objectives, and goals for Security Products in alignment with the CTO’s business-unit vision, the organization’s security strategy, and business needs.
• Oversee a global team of software engineers and other professionals; interview, hire, train, and manage developers.
• Manage proprietary technologies used for DBS Digital assets in a 24/7 environment, including domain management, brand protection, fraud protection, security monitoring tools, the DomainSec intelligence platform, and Domain Manager security tools.
• Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines for technology operations, and support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with organizational teams, senior management, and stakeholders.
• Meet with customers to review reporting and provide technical analysis of technology incidents.
• Meet with new customers to support onboarding and portal access.
• Continuously assess and improve technology capabilities, processes, and procedures, and stay up to date with technology ecosystem developments.
