About The Position

Our client is a technology-driven freight forwarder that leverages modern systems and data to improve visibility, automation, and decision-making across global logistics operations. They're investing heavily in building and evolving the internal technology ecosystem that powers its operations and client experience. The goal is not to build a SaaS product, but to create a highly efficient, technology-enabled logistics operation that delivers better outcomes for customers. They are in the middle of a major transformation: Migrating to a Salesforce-centered architecture Modernizing core operational systems and workflows Introducing automation and data-driven decision-making across the business Enhancing client experience through improved visibility and system capabilities. This role is fully remote with very generous benefits. Requirements

  • 7-12+ years of experience in technology leadership within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain environments.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to operate as part of a senior leadership team.
  • Experience leading teams and owning technology strategy in lean, fast-moving companies.
  • Must be able to bridge technology, operations, commercial teams, and leadership in a highly collaborative way.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of workflows, integrations, and systems architecture within logistics or freight forwarding environments.
  • Hands-on experience improving or building logistics systems and operational processes.
  • Experience with TMS, CRM, Salesforce, customer-facing platforms, or similar operational systems.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the company’s technology roadmap and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor a small technology team.
  • Improve logistics workflows, operational systems, and business processes.
  • Lead integrations across TMS, CRM, operational, and customer-facing systems.
  • Act as the bridge between technology, operations, commercial teams, and leadership.
  • Drive automation, AI, and data-driven operational improvements.
  • Support architecture, workflow, and system design decisions across the business.
