About The Position

This role is fully remote. The company is a technology-driven freight forwarder that leverages modern systems and data to improve visibility, automation, and decision-making across global logistics operations. They are investing heavily in building and evolving the internal technology ecosystem that powers its operations and client experience. The goal is to create a highly efficient, technology-enabled logistics operation that delivers better outcomes for customers. The company is in the middle of a major transformation: Migrating to a Salesforce-centered architecture, Modernizing core operational systems and workflows, Introducing automation and data-driven decision-making across the business, Enhancing client experience through improved visibility and system capabilities. The company has approximately 30 employees and a tight-knit, high-trust culture built on the belief that taking care of employees leads to better outcomes for customers. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team as a true partner in shaping the company’s technology direction. The company is hiring a Senior Director of Technology & Digital Transformation to lead the evolution of its technology ecosystem and support the company’s next phase of growth. This is a hands-on technology leadership role inside a logistics and freight forwarding business, focused on improving real-world operational workflows across shipments, finance, and client experience. You will be responsible for shaping the systems, architecture, and integrations that support logistics workflows across operations, finance, and client experience. The company is currently undergoing a digital transformation, including transitioning from a legacy TMS to a modern system and further developing its Salesforce-centered environment. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team, not as a layer of management, but as a strategic and operational partner. Own and improve end-to-end operational workflows, not just systems, across logistics execution, tracking, and customer delivery. Your focus will be on building scalable, reliable, and effective systems that drive measurable business outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role in a lean environment, suited for someone who is comfortable operating across both strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • 7 to 12+ years of experience in technology leadership within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain environments
  • Experience leading teams and owning technology strategy in lean, fast-moving companies
  • Strong understanding of systems architecture, integrations, workflows, and operational platforms
  • Hands on experience improving or building logistics systems and operational processes
  • Experience with TMS, Salesforce, CRM systems, and system integrations
  • Experience working closely with operations teams to improve real-world logistics workflows
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement when needed
  • Strong leadership, communication, and operational problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the company’s technology roadmap and digital transformation initiatives
  • Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on technology strategy and operational improvements
