About The Position
The Director of Surgical Services is a registered nurse leadership role focused on surgical services. The position requires perioperative experience, leadership experience, accomplishments in advancing the surgical caseload, familiarity with current clinical technology and information technology, and knowledge of AORN standards and recommended practices. The schedule is 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no call, holidays, nights, or weekends.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse.
- ACLS and BLS certifications; CNOR certification.
- 3–5 years of proven perioperative experience.
- 3–5 years of proven practical experience in a leadership role.
- Quantifiable accomplishments in advancing the surgical caseload.
- Advanced-level experience with current clinical technology.
- Practical knowledge of information technology.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience with AORN standards and recommended practices.
