About The Position

The Director of Supply Chain Operations is a leadership role responsible for enhancing and streamlining supply chain operations. The position leads process improvement initiatives and projects, and ensures supply chain operations align with organizational objectives. It identifies, updates, and creates policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness, with a focus on cost efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

The Director leads the supply chain operations team and collaborates with business functions and customers to improve performance and service. The role oversees projects, monitors key performance indicators, manages supply chain risks, and develops strategies that support organizational goals. It also promotes sustainable practices and a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of Supply Chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to the supply chain operations team and fosters continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with quality, clinical, finance, IT, HR, and other business functions to align and integrate supply chain strategies.
• Analyzes expenses related to items and purchased services and develops strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Improves the procure-to-pay process to minimize match exceptions and facilitate timely transaction processing.
• Works with Finance to ensure operational practices are accurately reflected in the general ledger and align with budgetary expectations.
• Analyzes performance metrics and implements improvements to meet or exceed targets.
• Ensures facility compliance with governmental and other regulatory laws and guidelines.
• Leads initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service.
• Develops and implements strategies to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain performance.
• Monitors and analyzes KPIs, identifies improvement opportunities, and implements corrective actions.
• Oversees supply chain projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to align projects with organizational goals.
• Tracks project progress, manages timelines, and ensures deliverables are met.
• Creates policies and education for supply chain operational leaders and staff.
• Identifies potential supply chain risks and develops mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and resilience.
• Implements and promotes sustainable supply chain practices to reduce environmental impact and support corporate social responsibility goals.
• Works with customers to ensure supply chain operations meet or exceed their expectations and requirements.
• Contributes to long-term supply chain strategies that support business goals and objectives.
• Fosters innovation within the supply chain team and encourages new ideas and approaches to improve operations.
• Maintains reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other applicable federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
