About The Position
The Director of Student-Athlete Success provides leadership and oversight for comprehensive academic, personal, and professional development services for Chico State student-athletes. The position oversees the Student-Athlete Success Center and coordinates academic support, advising, housing, conduct, leadership development, community engagement, and graduation planning. The Director collaborates closely with campus partners to ensure student-athletes are supported holistically while maintaining compliance with NCAA, CCAA, and California State University policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Student Affairs, Kinesiology, Sport Management, or a related field.
- Progressively responsible professional experience supporting student success, academic advising, student development, athletics administration, or a related area.
- 2-5 years of professional experience.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Four years of professional work experience in collegiate athletics.
- Experience working in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives.
- Demonstrated successful experience working with a diverse population and understanding of multicultural issues.
- Experience facilitating educational workshops to students.
- Demonstrated successful experience with program development and implementation, club/group creation/management, and the ability to initiate and complete projects independently with specific deadlines.
- Demonstrated familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations, personal and professional development trends, and campus and community resources and support systems.
- NACDA/N4A member.
