Director of Social Services
About The Position
The Director of Social Services designs, implements, and coordinates social service activities and programs within assigned affordable housing complexes under the direction of the Regional Director of Social Services. The role supports LifeSTEPS residents by providing client assistance, case management, service coordination, and community outreach. The position focuses on empowering low-income individuals and families through education and resources, supporting older adults in thriving in place, and helping residents build stable housing and resilient communities through evidence-based services. This is a non-exempt, part-time position working 28 hours per week in South Sacramento, California. Pay is $25.66–$27.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.
- Two years of experience in a similar environment providing social services.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Reliable, insured transportation.
