About The Position

The Director of Security and Emergency Management at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital will lead the interdisciplinary safety strategies and foster a team focused on excellence and the I-CARE values. This role involves comprehensive oversight of the Departments of Security, Communication, and Patient Transportation on a 24-hour basis. The Director will design, plan, and monitor the Safety Management Program in accordance with Joint Commission standards. Additionally, the position requires administrative leadership, including analyzing service effectiveness, conducting performance reviews, and empowering staff. Ensuring compliance with all DOH, JCAHO, OSHA, and NYS guidelines is a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in supervision, security, safety, and telecommunications.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory rules.
  • Ability to manage staffing patterns and budgets.
  • Clean NYS driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Law enforcement experience preferred.
