About The Position

Western States Lodging & Management is seeking a driven, strategic, and hands-on Director of Sales to lead revenue generation and sales initiatives across a portfolio of hotel properties located in the Point of the Mountain, Lehi, and Silicon Slopes corridor. This role offers the opportunity to shape the success of multiple hotels, influence revenue strategy across an entire market, and lead a team. The ideal candidate enjoys building business, developing talent, creating partnerships, and achieving measurable results.

Requirements

  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of hotel sales experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and manage key accounts
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales metrics, reporting, and performance analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally throughout the market

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing multiple hotel properties
  • Familiarity with major hotel brands such as Marriott or Hilton
  • Background in revenue management or advanced sales training

Responsibilities

  • Driving the overall success of a portfolio of hotels by creating and implementing sales strategies tailored to the Point of the Mountain and Silicon Slopes market.
  • Identifying new opportunities within corporate, group, and extended-stay segments.
  • Analyzing demand trends and adjusting strategies to maximize occupancy, rate, and revenue performance.
  • Partnering closely with General Managers and property leaders.
  • Coaching and mentoring sales associates.
  • Establishing clear goals and accountability measures.
  • Supporting hiring and development efforts.
  • Reviewing weekly and monthly sales production reports.
  • Evaluating pacing and performance.
  • Identifying growth opportunities.
  • Sharing strategic recommendations with leadership.
  • Serving as a visible representative of the portfolio across the Lehi, Draper, and Silicon Slopes business communities.
  • Building strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and key accounts that help drive long-term success.
