About The Position

The Principal Financial Group is seeking a Director of Sales - Retirement Solutions to join their team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves partnering with local intermediaries to position their products as the ultimate solution for clients. The position focuses on driving retirement plan sales by promoting defined contribution and defined benefit products for retirement plans in the 0-10M AUM space. It also involves building relationships with financial advisors and third-party administrators, and collaborating with the relationship management team for additional sales opportunities. This role has a heavy incentive component in addition to salary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
  • 2+ years of retirement sales experience with deep knowledge on retirement products.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Excellent consultation and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, capital markets, and financial service products.
  • Licenses Required within 5 months of employment: Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63).
  • Resident Life and Health appointment must be attained.
  • Must be located within territory; in or near Charlotte, NC.
  • Not considering candidates that need any type of immigration sponsorship now or in the future or those needing work authorization for this role.

  • Experience with non-qualified plans, defined benefit and ESOP’s a bonus!

Responsibilities
