About The Position

This person will manage the Southwest region (Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee). The role involves creating, planning, directing, coordinating, and executing strategies to meet customer needs, fulfill customer obligations, and achieve sales and market share objectives. The Director has principal leadership accountability for overall sales, service, and resulting P&L. They will lead and develop diverse strategies to support customers, consisting of sales and support employees and processes. Key responsibilities include identifying, developing, and maintaining professional relationships with key surgeons and accounts, achieving human capital objectives (employee engagement, performance management, talent acquisition, and planning/ensuring consistent application of practices and procedures), and selecting, training, evaluating, developing, and disciplining sales and operations personnel. The role also involves developing sales objectives by product line and territory to support Business Unit and Corporate objectives, negotiating and approving contracts, partnering with other sales channels to ensure successful contract development and compliance, collecting and analyzing market information to optimize sales and market share, developing, analyzing, reporting, and communicating sales data, managing sales budgets and approving expenses within divisional/Corporate parameters, and hosting, attending, and participating in professional meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts, or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years of field sales experience in the Orthopaedic or medical device industries
  • 5+ years of sales management experience
  • Demonstrated communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute a variety of strategies to meet objectives (i.e. sales, training and development, process improvement, change management)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels, from line-employees to executive clients

Benefits

  • Base/Draw + commission: $245,000 - $280,000
  • Eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses
  • Total compensation potential to $350,000 - $400,000
