About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Orthopedic Foot/Ankle Surgeon at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) in California. This role involves an out-patient clinic with a great patient population. The position is primarily Monday through Friday, with specific call responsibilities. Shifts are typically 8-hour periods, excluding a 30-minute uncompensated lunch break. Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Healthcare Workers (HCW) will not be required to provide services more than 80 hours per two-week period. Overage hours are limited to a maximum of 10 hours monthly, not exceeding 120 annual hours.

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Any State License
• Successful Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery residency program
• Successful Completion of a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle
• 24 months of experience in the past 36 months (Residency training can be included)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic foot and ankle surgical services in an out-patient clinic setting.
• Fulfill call responsibilities, including a minimum of two (2) overnight call shifts per month and one (1) weekend call shift every three (3) months.
• Provide post-call coverage on Mondays following weekend call to address operative cases and complete clinical documentation and administrative duties.
• Manage overage hours not to exceed 10 hours monthly, with a maximum of 120 annual hours.
