About The Position

The Director of Residential Operations is responsible for overseeing residential services and ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality, person-centered services to people with disabilities. Key roles are to implement Strategic Plan goals, ensure all regulatory requirements are met, ensure fiscal performance to budget and oversight of billing procedure and compliance are met. Support teams to be collaborative and effective. Focus on person-centered supports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field plus five years of administrative and progressive supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of five years prior experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or related human services program experience required.
  • Must demonstrate proven leadership, communication, fiscal and administrative skills
  • Valid NYS Driver's License that meets agency standards and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in human services-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of all residential employees, retention and management of employees and schedules, as well as building collaborative teams.
  • Assure that all departmental goals and strategic objectives are established, regulatory compliance maintained for the following programs or areas: IRA Supervised homes, IRA Supportive apartments, Family Care.
  • Oversee supervision collaborations and disciplinary procedures are followed for employees.
  • Establish, monitor and achieve budgeted financial goals in Residential programs. Responsible for all budgets. Responsible for monthly billing process and compliance.
  • Oversee person-centered services for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of the agency's Quality and Excellence Plan.
  • Responsible for Safety & Office Fire Prevention and control and all applicable regulations and surveys and all environmental and physical plant compliance for homes. To include federal, state, incident reporting, fiscal and waiver regulations and all Administrative memorandums.
  • Liaison to Board of Directors Quality Committee. Responsible for agency scorecard and quality reports, as assigned.
  • Develop policy and procedure for Operations as well as oversee screening, in-take and admissions for all agency programs, as assigned.
