About The Position

Therapy Management Corporation is hiring a Director of Rehabilitation to lead a facility’s rehabilitation therapy program for adult and geriatric patients. The role may be filled by a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Occupational Therapy Assistant. The Director leads and develops a multidisciplinary team while supporting personalized, patient-centered care and strong clinical outcomes.

The position combines day-to-day therapy program oversight with clinical leadership and management responsibilities. The Director works with facility leadership, nursing staff, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams; supports clinicians through coaching and mentorship; and oversees staffing, scheduling, productivity, documentation, regulatory compliance, and program performance. The role also offers mentorship and development support from experienced clinical and operational leaders, while enabling the Director to remain connected to patient care.

Requirements

• Current state-of-practice license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Graduate of an accredited PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA program.
• At least 2 years of healthcare experience; long-term care experience is preferred.
• Interest or experience in geriatric rehabilitation or senior living therapy.
• Passion for patient-centered care and improving quality of life for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of the facility’s rehabilitation therapy program.
• Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary therapy team and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Help clinicians deliver personalized, patient-centered rehabilitation focused on independence, mobility, safety, and quality of life.
• Partner with facility leadership, nursing, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support quality outcomes and continuity of care.
• Support therapist development through coaching, mentorship, communication, and ongoing clinical guidance.
• Oversee therapy operations, including staffing, scheduling, productivity, clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and program performance.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and grow rehabilitation services while maintaining a focus on quality patient care.
• Monitor patient and program outcomes and collaborate with the team to improve the rehabilitation experience.
• Foster a culture in which therapists feel supported, valued, accountable, and empowered.
• Serve as a trusted partner to facility leadership while advocating for patients and the therapy team.
