About The Position

The director of recruiting operations – football, position serves as the operational leader of the recruiting department, coordinating logistics, and compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines. This position plays a critical role in shaping the prospective student-athlete experience by assisting with the planning and executing of official/unofficial visits, game-day recruiting activities, and year-round recruiting events. Working closely with the Head Coach, Chief of Staff, General Manager of Recruiting and Academics, and football staff, the director of recruiting operations – football ensures the program maintains an efficient, innovative, and highly professional recruiting process that enhances the program’s brand and supports its long-term success ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Chief of Staff and General Manager of Recruiting and Academics. Uphold all NCAA, Conference USA and Liberty University rules and regulations. Employees are expected to participate in all mandatory training as deemed necessary by Liberty University. Develop and implement a daily class checks process. Assist with recruiting calendar and daily schedules. Must assist with recruiting events, gameday visit, official visits and unofficial visits. Oversees recruiting receipts and ensure they are account for with business manager. Ensure smooth integration between recruiting operations and the overall football program. Assist in managing the parents’ social media pages and group chats. Coordinate media events with players thru out the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
  • 3-5 years of experience and must be up to date on recruiting technologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer skills
  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
  • May be required to travel (away games and recruiting functions)
  • May be required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
