About The Position

The Brewer Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors. The Foundation empowers students through education equity, mentorship, and global debate. It breaks barriers, amplifies voices, and champions the art of advocacy for lasting change. As a 501(c)(3) private foundation, the Brewer Foundation supports a range of community initiatives, with a special emphasis on developing, overseeing, and funding its own education programs: the Brewer Foundation Future Leaders Program (FLP) and the Brewer Foundation/New York University International Public Policy Forum (IPPF). The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive, and discreet professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will be more than a support role; you will be the central nervous system for the President's office, enabling the high-level strategic work, donor engagement, and community leadership essential to our success.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supporting role, preferably in a non-profit, legal, or professional services environment.
  • Impeccable Discretion: You must have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity and judgment.
  • Proactive & Forward-Thinking: You are a self-starter who anticipates needs, solves problems before they arise, and operates with a sense of ownership.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: You possess superior writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Your ability to represent the President's office to powerful stakeholders is essential.
  • Grace Under Pressure: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple competing priorities with a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Mission Alignment: A genuine interest in the mission of the Brewer Foundation and a passion for creating educational opportunities.
  • A "no task is too small" attitude, combined with the strategic thinking to understand how all tasks contribute to the larger mission.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with relationship management software (CRM) is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervising the delivery of all FLP and IPPF programs and activities in accordance with the Program’s stated mission and goals. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the Program’s daily operations, developing, implementing, and managing the Program’s strategic initiatives, long-term and short-term program goals, program evaluation framework, etc.
  • Ensuring that the Programs’ components and activities follow all relevant standards and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, assessing and controlling risks associated with Program components and activities, training of staff, students, and parents regarding standards, etc.
  • Coordinating program delivery and logistics among relevant partners to increase the Programs’ effectiveness and efficiency
  • Regularly evaluating program components and activities and reporting findings and suggestions for improvement to the President of the Brewer Foundation
  • Working with and supporting the FLP and IPPF teams with other duties, as assigned with the fullest efficiency, integrity and confidentiality
  • Serve as the primary gatekeeper and point of contact for the President, handling correspondence with impeccable judgment and professionalism.
  • Proactively manage the President's complex calendar, prioritizing appointments and commitments to align with strategic fundraising and networking goals.
  • Prepare the President for all engagements by compiling detailed briefing materials, agendas, and background research for donor meetings, speaking events, and board sessions.
  • Arrange and coordinate all domestic and international travel, ensuring seamless and efficient logistics.
