Director of Product - Client Success

Gifthealth•Columbus, OH

About The Position

Gifthealth is seeking a Director of Product, Client Success to lead how the company launches and grows programs for its largest clients. The role owns the product, delivery, and team responsible for those programs, with accountability for meeting client launch dates and deliverables while ensuring client work supports the platform’s direction. It reports to the VP of Product and contributes to organizational alignment, operational excellence, and compliance standards. The Director leads the Client Success Product team, which manages program launches and continued program growth. They own each client program’s product direction end to end, partner with platform product and engineering, and manage limited resources against agreed client dates. The team includes mostly junior product managers focused on delivery and execution, along with a small number of senior product managers assigned to critical clients. The Director also represents product credibly in client conversations and makes clear, deliberate tradeoffs about scope, prioritization, and platform investment. The role calls for an outcome-oriented, high-agency product leader who can work through ambiguity, use AI in product work, manage scarce engineering capacity against fixed dates, and communicate decisions to clients and internal stakeholders. The Director coaches and develops the team, sets its operating rhythm and craft standards, aligns cross-functional partners, and uses metrics and analytics to assess whether programs achieve their intended outcomes. The job description identifies the schedule as full-time during standard business hours, with flexibility around client and launch schedules. Availability may be needed for client conversations, launch milestones, or escalations tied to committed dates. The work involves regular meetings with client success leads, platform product and engineering leads, clients, and the product management team. Location is not specified and is to be confirmed with the hiring manager. Salary is $142,000–$180,000.

  • Ability to lead executive-level client conversations about product status and direction, push back respectfully, and ensure clients feel heard and informed.
  • Proven people leadership, including coaching and growing product managers, particularly early-career PMs; ability to hire well and let team members lead.

  • Coach, hire, and develop a team of mostly junior product managers; set product craft standards and operating rhythms, assign senior PM support to critical accounts, and enable team members to lead.
  • Align client success leads, engineering, design, and operations to ensure launches ship and stakeholders understand status.
  • Define program metrics, instrument them with analytics, and hold the team accountable for outcomes after launch.
